I am a clean freak and germaphobe, so floors are something i'm constanly doing.
In this blog post i'll tell you how I thoroughly clean my wood floors. In my house this is done about twice a week but i do clean my floors daily also and there will be a future post on that.
To start I hoover the floors with my main hoover which is a shark lift away. I make sure to get under the kitchen table and into the corners because the dust and dog hairs just seem to gather there. For those wondering I really like this hoover and thnk its fab!

I then rinse out my mop bucket with hot water and an antibacteral spray juat to remove ther germs from last time i used the bucket. Then i fillmy mop bucket with hot water and a concentrated all purpose cleaning agent, a few of my favourites are: flash, teepol gold, dish gel and a drop of zoflora, dettol power and fresh and and the astonish floor cleaner. I will then dip my mop in and swirl it around, squeeze it out and wipe the floor with it twice until the whole floor has been done. I will rinse my mop out in the bucket after each room.

I have a noodle mop which i love, its actually brilliant! So once the floor is all moped i go over it with my noodle mop but I make sure the pad is dry and this helps dry the floor and leaves a beatiful STREAK FREE shine!

If you wanted you could also apply a drop of floor polish afterwards with the noodle mop but I dont junst becaue my floors are old so theres not really much point. Theres so many uses for noodle mops, and there dead cheap! i got mine in my favourite shop mr price which is like home bargains, we dont have home bargins in Ireland so it would be like an equivalent. You can also buy noodle mops on amazon.

for tile floors you cold also use a steam mop instead but for hardwood like my floors I prefer a mop and bucket to do a thorough clean.
Thank you for reading my first blog post, I'll have more soon! please excuse any small mistakes because i'm not great at writing unfortuneately but i'm sure I will get better over time. Thanks for reading! Dublins house of clean ;) xx
